Winter Reading Fun Bingo is here!!
Winter Reading Fun Bingo begins at the Fort Kent Public Library on January 20. $10 to play, and the winner receives half the total money raised. Readers receive tickets once they complete a BINGO line - horizontal, vertical or diagonal. A reader who completes the entire card (blackout) receives an additional two tickets. Play ends, and the winner will be drawn on March 24. Call 834-3048 for more information.

LIBRARY SNOW DAY!
Because of the snow and icy road conditions on December 30, the Fort Kent Public Library will be closed . WE had also scheduled the library to be closed Wednesday, New Years Eve and Thursday, New Years Day. We will reopen Friday, January 2 at 11 a.m. for our regular Friday hours. The FKPL Board of Trustees' meeting originally scheduled for Tuesday, December 30 at 5:30, is rescheduled for January 6 at 5:30 p.m. Thank you for your understanding.

Coffee Talk, sponsored by the Aroostook Agency on Aging, connects older adults with activities and services available in Fort Kent. Prepared for the Unexpected
On Wednesday, November 5, staff at the Fort Kent Public Library received training on the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED). Registered Nurse Mackenzie Dubay of NMMC volunteered her time and expertise at the FKPL monthly staff meeting. Cherry Pickers Over the Library
The work on the traffic lights seems like it's been going on for months, but this week we've all noticed the bucket trucks working on the powerline poles near Pleasant Street and Main in Fort Kent. On Wednesday, there were as many as four cherry picker going at the same time, along with flaggers methodically sending traffic through the busy intersection.
